This is not the only good news for Hungary’s second-largest city. As magyarepitok.hu reports, the logistics and packaging plant to be built in Debrecen has reached its highest point.
With the investment of nearly EUR 20.3 million (~HUF 7 billion), the most modern logistics and packaging plant in Europe will be built in Debrecen, which will also be the regional centre of Deufol in Southeast Europe.Â
Market Ltd is building the German Deufol factory in Debrecen. Construction of the company’s plant in Eastern Hungary began last October in the southern industrial economic zone near the airport. Deufol is the global market leader in supply chain solutions and industrial packaging, employing 2,300 people in 90 locations in 12 countries, and will have its 91st plant in Debrecen. Their services include export and industrial packaging, logistics services, and innovative IT solutions along the supply chain.
Thanks to the development, the company will create 120 new jobs in Debrecen. Deufol’s new logistics park is expected to open in early September, which means that the full construction will be completed in less than one year.
